19th C Faux Tortoiseshell & Mother Of Pearl Floral Inlaid Card Case

  
This is a very nice shell card case, inlaid both front and rear with mother of pearl flowers. The case is of smaller size, so designed for a man, and contains four of the original cards of Charles Stoney. This appears to be a shortened version of Butler Stoney, the estate from which the case came. The Butler Stoney family lived in Portland Park in Ireland as per the cards. The case measures 10.3cm by 5.8cm, and has been strengthened at the hinge to prevent it breaking, as shown.
